President’s Message

Welcome to the Jhapali Samaj USA. It is a privilege to lead the organization, which has been actively involved in various activities related to the education and health sector, specifically, Jhapa district, Nepal. Being a nonprofit and non-political organization, one of the organization’s main objectives is to unite diaspora-Jhapales spread worldwide, primarily in the USA, and mobilize them to support the development of Nepal, especially in the education and health sector. Even though education is the backbone for the prosperity of people and the nation, Nepal’s school education system still needs substantial improvement. Nepal, as a developing country, lacks suitable infrastructure, inadequate professional development of teachers, and insufficient educational resources are some of the main factors that negatively impact Nepal’s overall school education system. Furthermore, a significant number of people are living under the poverty line. As a result, many school-age students either have limited or no access to school education, particularly in the remote part of the country. In this regard, Jhapali Samaj, the USA, has been conducting various educational and health-related projects, particularly in the Jhapa district, to support school students’ education. Health-related projects include Ambulance denotation (Kechana Kawal, Saranamati, and kumarkhod VDC), Oxygen Plant establishment, PCR test for Covid, and Covid kits test. Additionally, the organization has launched a “one person-one scholarship Program” campaign to provide scholarships for academically strong but financially poor students. An individual donor can provide a scholarship of Rs21000 for a student until they graduate high school. In the meantime, a person can also donate a one-time sum of Rs 250000 as a part of the scholarship program. I am delighted to inform you that 70 students received the scholarship in 2022. I am very optimistic that we can provide the scholarship for as many as 300 students by the end of 2025. As a matter of fact, this organization is completely based on the donation received from individuals, particularly Jhapales, around the world; it is my humble request that you please help and support our scholarship campaign. I further make a commitment that students in Nepal would receive every dollar/rupee you donate.
I am thrilled with what we have been doing to improve the education sector in Nepal. I can tell you that the joy and satisfaction I have been feeling in my life by helping poor students in Nepal is invaluable.
